ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

Top Management endorses this Environmental Policy Statement and ensuresthat it is communicated, understood, implemented and maintained at all levels within theCompany and ultimately, that it achieves its intended outcomes.

 

Top Management promotes and is committed to the continual improvement of the Business Management System (BMS) to enhance itsenvironmental performance. This is facilitated through the setting of environmental objectivesbased on its significant environmental aspects, compliance obligations and considering its operational risks andopportunities. The results of which are communicated to interested parties, where appropriate

 

Cotherm UK Ltd is committed to ensuring that it:

·     Complies with all compliance obligations, where these relate to our environmental aspects and ISO 14001:2015.

·     Provides employees and others with the resources needed for the BMS, including support, directionand encouragement to fulfil the requirements, commensurate with their role.

·     Strives to integrate the BMS into all business processes.

·     Considers the environmental lifecycle of products, prevents pollution and meets other specific relevant commitment(s).

·     Manages and minimises its wastes by reducing its waste generation and by segregating, re-using and recycling wastewhere economically and operationally feasible.

·     Uses energy, water, materials and other natural resources as efficiently as possible, giving particularregard to the long-term sustainability of consumable items.

·     Ensures that the environment is considered in the procurement of goods and services.

·     Gives appropriate consideration for the protection of the environment in the goods and services it provides tocustomers.

·     Works with interested parties to encourage improvement to the global and local environment.

·     Supports other relevant management roles to demonstrate leadership as it applies to their areas ofresponsibility.

 

Cotherm UK Ltd hereby certifies that the Scope of the Business Management System and all associated documentation accurately describes its use within the Company such as to meet the requirements of ISO 14001:2015.

 

The BMS will be monitored, measured, evaluated and enhanced regularly under the Top Management’s ultimate responsibility, with regular reporting and communication of its status and effectiveness at all levels.

CORPORATE & SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY STATEMENT

For the purposes of this Policy, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined as the integration of social, quality and environmental concerns into its day-to-day activities and how Cotherm (UK) Ltd interacts with its interested parties.

 

Cotherm (UK) Ltd recognises that its activities and services have a significant impact on the wider social, environmental and economic well-being in its local and global environment. By addressing these it improves the quality and performance of its core organisational processes and responsibilities. By embracing CSR, it actively looks for opportunities to improve its environment and contribute to the well-being of its staff and the communities in which it operates.

 

Cotherm (UK) Ltd is committed to and has established a CSR Policy and published this Policy Statement which is guided by the following principles:

 

·               Shared Responsibility – CSR involves everyone in the Company, which means sharing the responsibilities of ownership as well as its rewards.

·               Openness and Accountability – The Company communicates its CSR Policy and all other Policies, objectives and performance openly and honestly to its employees, business partners and all other relevant interested parties. It also seeks their views and encourages them to communicate with the management.

·               Continual Improvement –The Company is committed to measuring and improving its CSR performance. It has developed and implement specific environmental, quality and social policies and procedures, monitors its performance, sets targets for improvement and reports its progress to everyone who is affected.

·               Demonstrate Compliance – As a minimum Cotherm (UK) Ltd meets or exceeds all relevant UK and EU legislation. Where no legislation exists it seeks to develop and implement its own appropriate standards.

 

Various Policies and processes have been developed in the following areas of CSR, which reflect the nature of its day to day business activities and wider involvement with, employees, society and all other interested parties:

 

·               Environment – Recognise the need to deliver services in an environmentally sustainable way and to include concern for the environment in all its activities. The Company has implemented an Environmental Management System which complies with ISO 14001:2004 and has published its Environmental Policy Statement to that effect.

 

 

·               Relationships – Cotherm (UK) Ltd will deliver its vision through developing strong relationships with its staff, partners, other external organisations and individuals, which are conducted with integrity and courtesy, and ensuring that it honours its commitments. It has also implemented a Quality Management System which complies with ISO 9001:2004 and has published a Quality Policy Statement to that effect

·               Communities – Cotherm (UK) Ltd will build and maintain relationships with its customers and the local communities which it serves and support local social businesses which share its aims. Encourage its staff, and those acting on its behalf, to consider the needs of others in day-to-day business matters.

·               People – Cotherm (UK) Ltd will respect its staff and encourage their ongoing development and training. Promote and maintain equality and have constant regard for their happiness as a whole, including their welfare, health and safety, The Company has implemented a Health & Safety Management System and published both a Health & Safety Policy and an Equal Opportunities Policy and published Statements to that effect

·        Empowerment and Communication - Cotherm (UK) Ltd will encourage and promote team-working and the sharing of skills and knowledge, whilst recognising outstanding individual contribution and rewarding its staff fairly.

2.   Organisation

The Managing Director of Cotherm (UK) Ltd has ultimate responsibility for CSR management within the Company and is responsible for the provision of advice and guidance on all CSR matters.

3.   Arrangements

This CSR Policy Statement is clearly communicated to all staff and, subject to review on an annual basis and will remain a focus for its activities.
